Ocufen Eye Drops consists of Generic Flurbiprofen sodium which inhibits both the action of COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes in the body and prevent the production of Prostaglandins that are responsible for the increase of pain, irritation and swelling of the eyes.

Instructions While Using Ocufen Eye Drop:-

  • The recommended dose of this medication is 1 drop every half an hour (total 4 drops) beginning two hours before surgery;

  • Shake the eye drop bottle before use;
  • Slightly incline your head back and look upside and pull your lower eyelid to make a pocket shape;
  • Put 1 drop into the eyes and them closed for 2 minutes;
  • Close the bottle of eye drops properly after use to prevent from the chance of contamination.
  • If you are using another kind of eye medication (for example, OTC eye drops and herbal medications), wait at least 10-15 minutes before applying other drugs. Use eye drops before eye gels or lotions to let the drops to enter the eye.
